SARA SHANTI YOGA · SOUTHAMPTON
Cookie Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains how Sara Shanti Yoga uses cookies and similar technologies on sarashanti.com. The site is intended for visitors in the United Kingdom and follows the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR requirements.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, which can remember information on your device. The rules can apply to these technologies even when they are not technically browser cookies.
2. What this website stores
| Technology | Purpose | When used | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
ss_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage) | Remembers your analytics choice and when it was made. | After you make a choice; needed to remember it. | Strictly necessary |
ss_vid (local storage) | Random pseudonymous identifier used to distinguish browsers for aggregate page-view statistics. | Only after you accept analytics. | Analytics |
The site does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising pixels or cross-site marketing trackers. The analytics identifier is not used to build advertising profiles.
3. Your choices
When you first visit, you can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences. Analytics are off by default and are not loaded until you actively opt in. Rejecting optional analytics does not affect your ability to browse the website, read information or contact Sara.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer. If you withdraw analytics consent, the site stops sending new analytics events and removes the analytics identifier from that browser. Data already received before withdrawal is not automatically erased; you can request erasure where applicable by emailing info@sarashanti.com.
4. Strictly necessary storage
The consent preference record is used only to remember the choice you make. It is not used to identify you for analytics or advertising. This storage is necessary to provide the privacy choices you requested.
5. Third-party services
When analytics are enabled, page-view data is sent to a Cloudflare Worker and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare may process technical connection data to provide and protect its infrastructure. The website does not intentionally send your full IP address to its analytics database.
6. Browser controls
You can also clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings. Clearing the consent record will cause the choice banner to appear again on your next visit. Browser-level blocking may affect some website functions.
7. Contact
